Comments From Our Customers
Hi Mike. I am Charlie Nielsen, recent purchaser of an Intes M703 from you. I have had several sessions with the scope now, both at home and at our club's U of M observatory site (mag 5 to 5.5 skies). I, and many of my fellow club members are very impressed! This scope is every bit as good as the reviews indicate. Galaxies are nice due to the fine contrast, some may look better than my 8" Dob which has a superb mirror. Globulars are stunning, resolution of M3 one of the best I have seen, even in larger apertures. Planets (Saturn and Jupiter) are jaw dropping. Even at very low altitude, I was very impressed with the number of bands visible on Jupiter. On a good night, 360x (Barlowed 10 Radian), Saturn is just shocking. One of our State's Assistant Attorney Generals let some mild profanity escape his lips at the site of Saturn. He threatened legal action if I did not confess that I had it rigged somehow. Double stars are just plain too easy. This scope doesn't even make a sport of it. Castor was so easy, and at such a low power, that I actually laughed at it. Porrima (0.8") was split when the air was steady. This is near the Dawes limit! The night I did that split, we could not split it with a C-14 (I think the collimation was slightly off), or (are you ready for this) an 18" Obsession, which was collimated just fine! Also had a chance to compare it to an Orion Argonaut 150. The owner of that fine scope agreed with me that there is a distinct advantage in the extra inch of aperture. I think I heard him mumbling something about saving for the 8" (future customer?). Oh, and it sits real nice on that Orion Sirius EQ. Bump tests of 1 to 1.5 seconds, and tracks very accurately.

I cannot thank you enough for your customer service, opinions, guidance, and friendship while and just after making this purchase. I am a very happy customer, and have and will continue to tell others about the experience.

With that, I am going out to set it up again, right now!

Hello Mike,

I wanted to send you a hearty thanks.
It has been ten months since I purchased the scope from you,
and it has been used exclusively on planetary and lunar objects.
I don't know if you know this but I've employed the M703 every clear
night.
I've used it in harsh winter conditions and on balmy wet summer nights
for two reasons-
portability and splendid optics.

I used the M703 on Mars, Jupiter and the Moon, all with incredible
results. I admire the smoothness of the optics as the image is
absolutely pure! Sharpness- super sharp focus is
is achieved effortlessly. Contrast is superb showing a wealth
of hard and soft contrast features and very intricate hues
on the face of Jupiter which is the toughest test -
the M703 passes with the highest marks.
On Mars, I made my best ever rendering-
and it is the standard by which
I will judge future observations.
The Moon is my most favorite target and I have spent many nights
studying and drawing lunar formations using this powerful instrument.

Equally important and forever appreciated are the numerous
important observing techniques you have passed on to me to help me
improve my visual ability, namely use of thoughtful magnifications as
they relate to brightness and contrast.

Thanks also for your excellent service, phone calls, emails, and other
advice concerning this important purchase!

To the ITE staff,

As a paid consultant for a worldwide private collector of fine telescopes, I must say that your advice, your claims and your products have exceeded all my employer's expectations. He now owns 7 of your fine instruments, ranging from 5" to 12".
Your knowledge and quality control of your products is the primary reason for his continuing business with ITE.

My experience as an experienced observer has been that all of your fine Mak-Newt and Mak-Cass products are premiere. Compared with other more costly instruments, they leave nothing to be desired.

On behalf of myself and the owner,I would like to thank ITE for making fine instruments available to all the astronomy enthusiasts worldwide.

Dear ITE (Mike),

I have owned several ITE OTA over the years, as I enjoy fine views of the astronomical subjects.Over the past two years,I have become interested in imaging and I was grateful to see your extensive line of astrographs for imaging of deep space subjects. So I purchased both the M606 and MN74 to give them a try.

I really appreciate the assistance that I was given from Mike and because of his willingness to assist me, I am greatly satisfied with my progress in a most comprehensive field of imaging. Thank you for your patience and knowledge.

I have searched out many astrophotography sites, and I find them quite useful to further encourage me for new endeavors. However, there is one site that I found most disturbing. I will not mention it (I am a gentleman). The person claims that he is not pleased with the products or service from ITE, yet he published on your site a very nice image of a galaxy. I can only conclude(from working with you for years) that he has a problem either learning from an expert like you, or he is a confused and troubled
individual. His false statements only reflect on his flawed character.

Again, I would like to conclude on a positive note: your products are outstanding and your service is simply remarkable. I look forward to speaking with you from time to time, as you are always willing to answer my questions and support my efforts.

Many thanks and all the best,

Steve D.
